Meet Julie

Hi! My name is Julie Holmes and I moved to Stanwood in 2007 from the suburbs of Los Angeles where I was born and raised. My husband Greg and I have 3 little girls Megan, Taylor and Lola (born 2004, 2007 and 2009) that keep us busy! I graduated in 2002 with my Bachelors of Science in Nursing and had the amazing opportunity to enter into a Neonatal Intensive Care residency program directly out of nursing school. I currently work part time in the NICU taking care of babies born prematurely or those who experience complications at delivery. I LOVE my job as an RN. The babies have taught me profound lessons about life.

I sought out some sort of exercise regimen after giving birth to my 3rd daughter. I so badly wanted some sort of resemblance of that body I once had. With my 6 week old in tow, I dragged myself into Studio Z and stood the furthest away from the stage as possible to prevent ANYONE from seeing me! With persistence and determination I continued attending classes and slowly watched my body transform. My attitude quickly went from “I have to go to Zumba” to “I want to go to Zumba” to “I can’t get enough of Zumba!” I got certified as an Instructor in January 2011. I LOVE having the opportunity to see the smiles, the giggles and the strength of the students taking Zumba classes. It warms my heart.

I hope to see you in one of my classes in the future. Ditch the workout….. and join the Party!
