I miss the smell of Kodak film.
My figure.
Ronald Reagan
Watching disco die. And bell bottoms. Well, they were still cool to me. And the Rockford Files.
I posted the same question at Linkedin this morning and got these responses from the LinkedSeattle group:
“Travel was soooo much easier…” – Paul Bailey
“Definitely the music!” – Darla Holterman
“MTV the way it used to be.” – Nick Jonathan
“Not much frankly.” – Mark Lipsky
“Music.” – Ally Wangsness
I’d have to echo “music”. It seems like 80′s music leaned hard on melody whereas today most music is dominated by rhythm (of which I am also a fan). I get a kick out of watching the total disconnect between the lyrics of 80′s music and the music videos they produced. Ex. Rick Astley sings about love and commitment while guys flip around in empty buildings and bounce of chain link fences. Mass cool.
